## 1. Purpose

This document explores how patterns recur across apparently different disciplines.

It exists because The Curiosity Lab is not only interested in connecting related topics. It is interested in helping users discover that distant things can share hidden structures.

A Roman coin and a passport are not the same topic.

A bridge and a supply chain are not the same object.

Gravity and economic interaction are not the same domain.

But each pair may share a recognisable underlying structure.

The core claim of this document is:

> **Curiosity often deepens when a user discovers that apparently unrelated things are connected by a shared pattern.**

This is central to the v0.3 product direction:

The Curiosity Lab depends on meaningful connections.

Some are causal.

Some are narrative.

Some are structural.

The project’s original vision becomes most distinctive when it works with structural connections.

That is where the experience can move beyond ordinary “related content”.
